"Obamacare" is being compared to Nazi Germany

I understand that people are not happy with the situation. Fine. If not happy then work on change it or whatever but now I'm hearing people say things like "Welcome to Nazi America". First, I find it utterly ridiculous as if providing healthcare to our citizens in any way compares. Secondly, I find it deeply offensive and hurtful. I have stated so too. Is anyone else hearing these sort of comments?

I have also heard really hateful things from those who hate Obama care.

I think that the fear factor is at work, if they can make everyone fear then maybe more will not like Obama care.

All I know is that it will allow me to keep my oldest son on my health insurance longer and it makes it possible for all those folks who have preexisting conditions to get health care.

The folks who hate Obama care also hate Obama.

I spent a lot of time on political forums, and I hear it a lot.

Not only is it ignorant and offensive, it's just plain wrong.
While the Affordable Healthcare Act can be stretched to kinda look like the socialism that gets people shivering in fear (and it is a stretch), it isn't fascism by any means.

Did Nazi Germany have a similar health plan?

If not, why the contrast?

I'm not actually looking for answers, just making a point.
