I wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm going to NYC with my family in July and was wondering if there were any Jewish places that would be good to see?

I'm already planning on going to the Jewish Museum and possibly the YU museum, but apart from that are there any famous shuls or the like that would be good to see?

I live close to the city and would be more than happy to help where I can.

Here is a "famous" shul that is now sort of a museum that you may want to visit.

Also, you may want to go visit Hineni and listen to Rebbetzin Jungries if she is in town. She is truly a gifted speaker and world renown.

I'll check to see if I can find anything else for you.

Thank you for your suggestions! Both seem really interesting, especially the Rebbetzin.

You're welcome!

I've been to a couple of her classes and attend a weekly Parsha class given by one of her sons. Her daughter is also a great speaker and writer who focuses on parenting and relationships (Raising a Child with Soul is her book).

Hopefully she will be in town when you are here as she does travel quite frequently.

Although she recently broke her hip and is just coming off surgery ( may she heal quickly) so maybe she will take a break from traveling for awhile.
