Found a necklace...

So, I was going through the basement and I found a necklace. There are Hebrew letters on it, but I don't know enough Hebrew to try and figure out what it says.

One side is definitely a chai, like this [ חי] while the other side is sort of confusing. It has three letters, the third one is definitely [ל] but the other two are confusing. The second could be [ו] or [ז] and the first one (from the right) could be [ת] or [ח]

I could be very wrong, and I'll try to get pictures, but I was wondering if anyone more learned in Hebrew had any ideas.

It looks like it could be "chazal," a term for the Talmudic sages. Although since it's an acronym (for "our sages of blessed memory") it's normally written חז"ל. (The " indicates an acronym.) It seems an unusual word to put on a necklace though.

I agree with LineyLu. Those are certainly the letters. But it is a strange word to put on a necklace.
