Okay, there are actually three articles here. The first is written by Mrs. Miller who is a Jew by patrilineal decent and married to a non-Jew. The Miller family celebrates both Christmas and Chanukah.

I found the articles interesting but I also found the comments revealing. I just thought some of you might be interested. I know someone has also addressed the second article on the interfaithfamily website.

geez..I thought I was confused. The responses are just off as they are about their own religion...which is basically xtian+pagan leftovers=upset stomach.

I wouldn't say they are necessarily confused, they just have different views.

Maybe the words i should use is "lack understanding"...hind sight now I get embarassed at how silly were the things I use to do as a xtian/messianic believer. As a former penticostal I would have blasted them on their heathen/pagan/blasphemous views. Then I would fake pray in tongues and try to cast the demons out of them LOL! I once tried an exorcism on myself when I was 12 because I was questioning my catholic upbringing and thought the devil was making me do it, then I was a born again xtian at 13 thanks to my Jehovah witness friends and my mormon bible I checked out of the school library, then my bff's in highschool were wiccans. So...confused...yes I was. Are they? A little bit. Its all good though, somehow we will all get there, some may purge longer than others.

I have a friend who thinks this way. If she isn't talking about Jesus she's talking about the devil. She was always terrified she was going to burn in hell forever. I hope she's gotten over that part.
